6 Full-time 4 days ago Full Job Description JOB SUMMARY This position requires the employee to have a thorough understanding of the clerical and clinical operations of the department/ambulatory clinic.
The employee will be responsible for verifying patient information, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.
The employee will prepare the patient for examination by obtaining vital signs and performing preliminary physical tests.
Tasks required of the medical assistant may include but not be limited to audiometry, visual testing, pulmonary function testing, drug and EBT screening, EKGs, venipuncture, and injections.
The employee is responsible for consistently and accurately documenting patient information.
The Medical Assistant will report directly to the Clinic Manager and may be given additional responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
EDUCATION This individual must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
LICENSURE N/A EXPERIENCE N/A CERTIFICATION Prefer certified level Medical Assistant or an applicant who has been thru training and is certificate eligible.
COMPUTER/TYPING/MATH SKILLS Computer experience is necessary to perform various job duties in the clinical area as well as the accounting function.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS This individual must possess excellent public relations and flexible communication skills in the everyday operation of the department.
This person must project confidence and establish good working relationships with clients on a long term basis.
This individual must have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions and be able to respond to special demands with tact, professionalism and be able to communicate with persons of all socio-economic levels.
Medical experience and/or medical terminology training is preferred, or willingness to take special courses within six month following employment to meet job criteria.
Basic problem-solving abilities required.
Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period; extended probationary period may be acceptable upon case by case basis with action plan developed with Department Manager/Director.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
